The Holiday Party 2019 (also known as the Christmas Party 2019) was a party on Club Penguin Rewritten. It was confirmed in issue #136 of the Club Penguin Times. Construction for the party began on December 12, 2019. It began on December 19, 2019, and ended on January 2, 2020.

Coins for Change 2019 coincided with this party, and the New Year's Day 2020 coincided with the party in the last few days to celebrate the new year. Aunt Arctic and Rockhopper joined in to celebrate the party and promote Coins for Change.

Storyline[]

Holiday Party 2019 Flying Migrator — The Migrator seen flying

After docking the Migrator at the Beach at the start of Coins for Change 2019, Rockhopper seemed to have disappeared without a trace. Aunt Arctic, concerned about his disappearance, decided to ask the player's help to make Coins for Change a success while Rockhopper is gone.

A short 22-second cutscene was released on December 25, 2019, alongside the final Holiday Calendar 2019 item. The cutscene showed Rockhopper staring out into the night sky. After a few seconds, he moves out of the scene revealing a silhouette of The Migrator that appeared to be floating in the sky.^[1]

Later that day during a meetup with Aunt Arctic, she claimed to have seen Rockhopper around the island despite his mysterious disappearance, stating that "[Rockhopper] should be around soon!"^[2]^[3]

Other penguins also claimed to have seen the Migrator supposedly flying around the island.

The truth was finally uncovered on January 1, 2020, in an interview with Rockhopper by the Club Penguin Times. Rockhopper said that he really was delivering presents in his flying Migrator, which he owed to "holiday magic".^[4]

Holiday Party 2019 Sled Racing finish line — The Ridge Run finish line during the party

It is the first Holiday Party to have a story.^[5]
This is the first holiday-themed party to be named the Holiday Party instead of the Christmas Party.
When the party was released, the Tree Mob Stamp could not be obtained. This was fixed a few hours afterward.
The path to the Hidden Dojo Room (which leads to the Dojo Pathway and Serene Springs) was blocked off during this party.
- This is the second time this has occurred, the first being during the Halloween Party 2019.
The music in the Underground Pool is a holiday remix of the track "Bubbling Brook" from the Underwater Expedition. It was made by Screenhog and is titled "Carol of the Bubbles".^[6]
- On December 22, 2019, the track was added to the igloo music selection.
The Sled Racing tracks were decorated for the party for the first time.
An update was released on December 20, 2019, which updated the decorations for the Cove, Hidden Lake, and the Night Club.
An extra digit was added to the Coins for Change 2019 Interface donation counter on December 20, 2019.^[7]
The dates on the Community Checklist were incorrect, displaying a day earlier than intended.^[8] This was fixed on December 21, 2019.
The Dock and Snow Forts were redecorated on December 31, 2019, due to the New Year's Day 2020 event.
