New Year's Day 2018 was an event in Club Penguin Rewritten. It started on December 27, 2017 and ended on January 3, 2018. It took place a week into the Christmas Party 2017. It was confirmed in Issue #41 of the Club Penguin Times. Issue #42 also confirmed there to be a giant countdown at the Snow Forts on December 27, 2017.

- Despite taking over the course of a week, the event is strangely enough referred to as New Year's Day.
- The time in on the clock was for people in Penguin Standard Time (the time that the Clock Tower goes by).
- When it was officially 2018 in PST, the clock would display "2018", "HAPPY NEW YEAR" repeatedly till January 3, 2018.
- The Party Starts Now also began playing.
