His ship was known as The Black Shell, and it was his main form of transportation. He planned on using his ship to store every single coin from Club Penguin Island.

Personality

Not much is known about Shellbeard, other than the fact that he appeared to be antagonistic, especially towards Rockhopper. He was also a pirate, just like him.

Outfit

Shellbeard was a ghost turtle, a one-of-a-kind species in Club Penguin. His regular outfit consisted of:

• A light and dark green pirate hat
• Golden earrings
• A maroon pirate coat with a blue belt
• Golden rings

• His in-game model was created by August Renders.
• His Player Card artwork was created by bacon.
• His stamp was created by Moo.
• He was the only mascot to have voice-acting in-game, which players can hear when he types "I AM SHELLBEARD".
• His in-game username was originally supposed to be Captain Shellbeard, but was changed due to it being too long.
• He initially appeared in Club Penguin Island with a slightly different design.
• The following bullet points relate to his in-game model:
  • His tail movement was influenced by mermaids.
  • His rig was intentionally broken to make his mouth open wide during his roaring animation.
  • Both of the haunted chests around him were animated as if they had different personalities.
  • The haunted chests were also slightly re-designed with teeth for a more evil look.
  • The purple smoke uses a re-colored version of the smoke material used in the Haunted Armor's special dance animation.
• The name of his ship, The Black Shell, was based off of the Black Pearl from the film series Pirates of the Caribbean.
