The staff members of Club Penguin Rewritten were people who kept the island of Club Penguin Rewritten safe or contributed to the game's development and artwork.

At the time of closure on April 13, 2022, there were 16 public staff members.

As of October 23, 2021, there has historically been a total of 63 staff members hired. This figure does not include historical Discord Moderators who were never promoted to Moderator, as well as private developers who are not publicly revealed to the community.

Staff could help update the game, design or program new content, write articles for the What's New Blog, and answer questions from the community.

How to Become a Staff Member

Staff members were usually hired by either sending an application email to apply@cprewritten.net, or being agreed on by the rest of the staff team to be hired.

At certain times of the year, the staff team would look into hiring new staff members. During this time, they would look into application emails received as well as privately discuss about anyone in the community that they feel would be suitable to join. After the staff team fully agreed on a candidate or applicant, the staff team would reach out to said person to discuss further with them.

For most first-time staff, they would undergo a "trial moderation" period where they would be given the position of Discord Moderator. These periods usually lasted more than a week. After some time, they would be given the opportunity to be promoted to Moderator, or would remain as Discord Moderator if they choose to not be promoted.

Some positions such as Artist and Developer did not necessarily require the staff member to go through the trial period.

• There used to be a Staff Leader role, but it was removed due to having little purpose.
• Before the Junior Moderator role was made, there was a Trial Moderator role, which was practically the same role under a different name. Pautemii, Larry, Galvin, and KingDedede were Trial Moderators before being made Moderators.
  • Discord Moderators were occasionally still referred to as these roles.
